32 Geeky Love Quotes (and easy DIY geek art)

DIY Geek Art - Geeky Love Quotes

Geeky love quotes are pretty abundant, but here are some (32, specifically) of our favorites. Plus, if you’re looking for the easiest last-minute geek Valentine’s Day gift, here’s that too.

Today we were planning on posting our huge DIY wall-mounted Wampa head (if you follow us on on our new Instagram or Tumblr accounts, you know what we’re talking about). BUT, that will have to wait a couple days, while we do one last Valentine’s Day post. Because, geeks in love.

We had some of these gold and black frames around, which we got at a dollar store. Frames, plus a printer and a computer, equal instant geeky gift. Make a little gallery of them to surprise your most-loved nerd. We made a few for ourselves/each other plus a couple for friends (since some of our favorite quotes are good for platonic relationships as well).

It doesn’t get much easier than opening up any program on your computer that allows you to type – Photoshop, Word, etc – or going to a website like Picmonkey and using their free software (super easy. We use Picmonkey on a lot of our photos and collages). Type in a phrase. If you would like, adjust colors/fonts. Print. Put in frame. We made some with DIY photo mats (see top photo) – those are made with basic construction paper that we cut.

Geek Valentine Gift - Geeky Love QuoteHere are a few of our favorite pop culture or geeky quotes about love/friendship:

The most obvious: “I love you. I know”

“I’m your density. …I mean, your destiny” (Back to the Future)

“I’ve only got one life. I could spend it with you, if you want” (Doctor Who. [sniffle])

“It’s not enough to just live. You have to have something to live for” (Battlestar Galactica)

“As the candy hearts poured into the fiery quasar, a wondrous thing happened, why not. They vaporized into a mystical love radiation that spread across the universe, destroying many, many planets, including two gangster planets and a cowboy world. But one planet was exactly the right distance to see the romantic rays but not be destroyed by them: Earth. So all over the world couples stood together in joy” (Zoidberg, on Valentine’s Day. Futurama)

“All the gods, they cannot sever us. If I were dead and you were still fighting for life, I’d come back from the darkness. Back from the pit of hell to fight at your side” (Conan the Barbarian!)

“To Infinity… and Beyond!” (Toy Story. We are Pixar nerds)

“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone” (Lord of the Rings)

“How you turn my world, you precious thing” (Labyrinth)

“How hollow is the sound of victory without someone to share it with” (Star Trek DS9. Martok is awesome)

“Get back on your feet
I will help you up, and then

“I have been, and always shall be your friend” (Star Trek II)

“Don’t you want to build a huge interstellar spaceship, load it full of videogames, junk food, and comfy couches, and then get the hell out of here?” (Ready Player One. <3)

“If we join together, no forces can stop us” (DS9. Worf + Jadzia wedding)

“Yes, I love technology. But not as much as you, you see. But I still love technology. Always and Forever” (Napoleon Dynamite)

“I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey” (Rocky Horror Picture Show!)

“You know, your voice is kind of nice when your mouth isn’t screwing it up” (Goonies. For a snarky love)

“You’re the toughest, craziest, most hardcore badass on the planet” (Otacon to Snake, Metal Gear Solid 4)

“Our mental pathways have become accustomed to your sensory input patterns” (Star Trek TNG)

“I came across time for you. I love you. I always have” (Terminator)

“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided” (Harry Potter)

“[You make] me feel kinda funny, like when we used to climb the rope in gym class” (paraphrased from Wayne’s World)

“Living is having ups and downs and sharing them with friends” (South Park)

“You were the lightning in that rain. You can still shine through the darkness” (Metal Gear Solid 4)

Not exclusively a love quote, but oh, the feels!

“The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” – Eleven to Amy Pond (Doctor Who)

  4. Amsnda says:
