Now that I got that out of the way… H&M has a home decor line! AND an online store! This is all new stuff, since apparently H&M is pretty behind the rest of the world in terms of an online US shopping site. To tell you the truth, I’m not a huge fan of their clothing stores – mainly because I find the sizes to be hilariously inconsistent and I hate trying things on – BUT quite a few items from the home line actually look really cool. There aren’t any specifically nerd or geek items, but there are ton of cool graphic items that can blend or contrast well with nerd decor. What do you think? Most of us don’t have room in our house for the awe-inspiring custom built AT-AT loft bed, but this impressive book case/storage unit (seen on Neatorama) should be more than enough to tide you over. The model listed on Etsy has sold (for over $500!), but hopefully seeing ingenuity of this sort to incorporate geek passion into semi-practical home design might inspire you.
Two things that we can’t get enough of are books and great architecture. We just ran across this list of 62 of the World’s Most Beautiful Libraries on Mental_Floss, and were completely blown away.
