We are in no way affiliated with H&M, and this is NOT an advertising post!
Now that I got that out of the way… H&M has a home decor line! AND an online store! This is all new stuff, since apparently H&M is pretty behind the rest of the world in terms of an online US shopping site. To tell you the truth, I’m not a huge fan of their clothing stores – mainly because I find the sizes to be hilariously inconsistent and I hate trying things on – BUT quite a few items from the home line actually look really cool. There aren’t any specifically nerd or geek items, but there are ton of cool graphic items that can blend or contrast well with nerd decor. What do you think? You can check out the entire line at HM.com.
A few of our favorite items:
We love libraries, and this curtain is a fun kitschy way to have your own private library. We recently took the doors off of our bedroom closets to add more usable space to the room, and these curtains might be a good replacement. $17.95.
Everyone knows that wolves bring you power. So sleeping with your face on a wolf pillow brings you crazy Liam Neeson power. $5.95
A simple solid duvet cover would be a good base to sew some nerdy fabric trim to. $39.95.
This cat [pillow] looks both grumpy AND suspicious. $9.95.
How did they get this pillow here from the future?? Looks straight out of Star Trek. $5.95.
Tim Burton is right about one thing – you can never go wrong with black and white stripes (especially on a throw pillow). $5.95.
Cheap star print towel. Why not? $5.95.

September 24, 2013 at 8:54 pmAs soon as that pillow shows up in the mailbox, I’m going to break some beer bottles and tape the shards to my hands. Just for fun.

October 5, 2014 at 3:07 amI think that cat pillow would make an excellent addition to my “I don’t really care, but doesn’t my home have the coolest vibe” decor. Yep, I need to get it. And are you people still writing a blog? I don’t want to go all crazy about you, get attached, and then find out you guys realized that blogging cut into your reading/RPGs/tv marathons and so you quit after a few months…I have abandonment issues.

October 6, 2014 at 2:01 pmThanks for stopping by, Beth! We ARE still writing the blog. We actually just celebrated our one-year blog-anniversary here. It definitely does cut into our RPG/Netflix time, but we make it work. 🙂
