We can’t believe that it’s already time for Halloween! Here’s a quick peek at some of the projects we’re working on (plus geek Halloween pumpkin templates).
This is one of our favorite times of the year – black and gold decor, skull and bat prints everywhere, CANDY, the temperatures finally getting below 90…
We’ve been busy busy unpacking from our move, settling back from our vacation to Michigan, trying to paint/decorate our new place (we are grateful for cool landlords!), and finally getting some geek Halloween decor up.
If you’ve been following along on our Instagram or Twitter, we made an 8-bit jack-o-lantern, a Batman garland, a 10-minute faux cross-stitched skull, and of course we have a few other surprises on the way (including some horror film DIY projects, a quick D&D inspired craft, and 2-minute pumpkin designs. We’ll have mini-tutorials for all of these projects next week)! We’ve also teamed up with an awesome group of bloggers to each do a Halloween House Tour, which we’ll post on Monday October 20th – so come back then to see all of our finished work!
That said – what are YOU going to be doing for Halloween? Did you decorate? Are you partying? Watching horror movies and passing out candy?
If you’re planning on doing some pumpkin carving, here’s a great link to some of the best geek Halloween pumpkin template ideas we’ve seen (via ThinkGeek). We’re keeping our pumpkins a surprise until Monday, but we will say they’re pretty geeky (and easy/quick! Free time hasn’t been our friend lately).
