We mentioned that to celebrate our one-year-blogiversary, we were going to start doing some giveaways, so here’s the first.   11. I’ve always been pure Star Wars nerd at heart. 😀 (I can quote all the movies, wrote thousands of words of fan fiction in my early teens, played most of the video games, and read more of the Expanded Universe books than I care to admit…)

  12. Choosing a #1 fandom would be difficult, but I would have to say LEGO, for it allows not only endless originality, but also now offers licensed forays into so many other fandoms: LOTR, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel AND DC, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons…

    So yes, definitely LEGO. Now if only there could be Borderlands & Star Trek LEGO, my life would be set.

  14. Oooh, can’t pick just one fandom, but the one that I can relate to with most people is Harry Potter! Kids, parents, teens, old folks – everybody seems to have an HP story.

  15. Yay! I love classic and new sci-fi, lego, fantasy, YA books-movies (Harry Potter/Hunger Games/Divergent), video games (especially retro or 8 bit, but role-playing/adventure too!), Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and SO SO Much more… how to get all the geekiness in?!

  19. Oh, my, so much to choose from. Trek, Who, LOTR, Harry Potter, and my kids like Minecraft, Zelda, Pokemon & Homestuck. Oh, and we all like Ponies. And Portal.

  22. My number one fandom? That’s a hard one. If we’re talking television, then it’s the perhaps non-geeky “Midsomer Murders” series. Books? Ummm, I wouldn’t even know where to begin, since I’m more into a good classic, cozy mystery ala Agatha Christie more than probably anything else- although steampunk is starting to gain ground. Movies? Definitely the Avengers and their individual movies….but then again, there’s the last installment of the Hobbit coming out, so again…. (Gaming? I’m still old school, tabletop pencil and paper D&D.)

  23. I can’t just pick one! For games, Zelda and Final Fantasy. TV would have to be Firefly. And Sailor Moon. And Doctor Who. As for books, Harry Potter takes the top spot! So many fandoms, so little time!

  28. Super Duper Happy 1-year-Anniversary! What a year full of nerdy and geeky Awesomeness that has been! Please keep on making all those amazing things that make Nerdhearts go all wibbly wobbly. 😉 My #1 Fandom? Oh by Odin’s Beard that’s one hell of a question…there are way too many, but at the moment I would go with Marvel, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and of course everything that comes fresh out of Middle Earth.

  38. Choosing, oh geez choosing. I’m not very good at decisions. But if I had to choose, my number one fandom probably has to be superwholock, or zombie video games. Or that homeless lady who yells about the end of the world on my street. But with her it’s more of a fanclub really…
    Haha, just kidding. Probably superwholock. Or survival videogames. Or… dammit not again.
